What is AffCollect and why do our clients use it?

AffCollect is an affiliate tracking solution, used by clients all over the world to manage their affiliate marketing business.

Our clients determine the data that they provide to and collect through AffCollect.

The way how clients of AffCollect are handling any data, is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable laws or regulations.

How do AffCollect clients collect data?

At the direction of our clients, who are acting as data controllers, AffCollect collects the following types of information from users to help clients optimize and measure their affiliate marketing business:

• Ad identifiers
• Ip address
• Cookies
• Pixel tags
• Geo location data derived from ip address and/or wifi networks.
• Device type and/or brand/model used
• Os and/or browser used

How do clients collect information from users?

Clients use AffCollect for pixel or server post back tracking to collect information about users.

Pixel tracking stores a session identifier in a user’s cookie on click.

In post back tracking, AffCollect directly creates and sends a unique identifier to the advertiser on click. If a conversion happens, the advertiser then communicates back this unique identifier to AffCollect for validation purposes.

How clients use AffCollect to process information from users?

AffCollect uses data, which does not personally identify any end-user, in order to allow a more accurate targeting for any advertisements by our clients.

What information is AffCollect collecting from its clients?

Signing up as a client requires setting up an AffCollect account and platform.

During this process, we collect data such as, but not limited to, name, email, company, and Skype id. AffCollect may disclose data in the event we suspect fraudulent, malicious, or unlawful activity or believe that we are legally required to do so.

Payment card details are entered on and processed by our payment provider, Stripe. AffCollect does not store full card numbers.

AffCollect may also collect and share anonymous aggregated data derived from the AffCollect platform, including, statistics about the platform activity.

We may transfer such data to a successor entity in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or other corporate change.

Can users opt out from all tracking handled by AffCollect?

If any user would like to opt out from ads of a network, affiliate, or advertiser, they will need to contact those companies directly.

Log files

AffCollect follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. Demo requests

When you request a demo, we collect the name, work email, company, number of affiliate accounts and message you enter. We use them only to respond to your request and arrange the demo.

The demo request form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the form is filled in by a person rather than an automated script. Cloudflare processes technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, for that check. It is loaded only when you scroll to the form.
